Ahalia Exchange is looking for a qualified and experienced Internal Auditor to strengthen its internal controls and compliance frameworks in line with CBUAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit plan covering operational, financial, AML/CFT, and regulatory compliance areas.
• Review and assess the effectiveness of internal controls, policies, procedures, and systems in line with CBUAE requirements.
• Conduct audits of remittance, foreign exchange, agent management, KYC/CDD, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening processes.
• Identify control gaps, regulatory breaches, and operational weaknesses; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Track audit issues and follow up on management action plans to ensure timely remediation.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and audit-ready reports for Senior Management and the Board/Audit Committee.
• Support CBUAE inspections, external audits, and regulatory reviews, including submission of requested documents and responses.
• Maintain independence from audited activities and ensure adherence to professional auditing standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in internal audit within an Exchange House or Financial Institution in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of CBUAE regulations, AML/CFT framework, Exchange House Guidelines, and internal control standards.
• Professional certification such as CA, CIA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills.
