The Chargehand is responsible for supervising and coordinating a team of construction workers to ensure daily site activities are completed safely, correctly, and according to the Foreman’s instructions. Immediate joiners are preferred for this role in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide workers during daily construction activities.
- Allocate manpower and assign daily tasks as instructed by the Foreman.
- Monitor workers’ attendance, productivity, and work progress.
- Ensure work is carried out according to drawings, specifications, and site instructions.
- Coordinate the required tools, equipment, and materials for the team.
- Check workmanship and immediately report defects or issues to the Foreman.
- Ensure workers follow site safety rules and wear required PPE.
- Maintain good housekeeping and organization of the work area.
- Assist with civil, structural, finishing, or general construction activities as required.
- Report manpower, material shortages, delays, and site issues to the Foreman.
- Ensure assigned daily targets are completed on time.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chargehand or Senior Construction Worker.
- Good knowledge of construction site activities and work procedures.
- Ability to supervise and manage a team of workers.
- Ability to understand basic drawings and site instructions.
- Good knowledge of construction safety requirements.
- UAE/GCC construction experience preferred.
- Physically fit and able to work in construction site conditions.
