Drake & Scull Contracting is seeking an experienced Technical Engineer – Civil to support the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Review civil/structural drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project documents to support site execution.
• Prepare, review, and coordinate civil shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, RFIs, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams for approvals and technical clarifications.
• Identify discrepancies in IFC drawings, raise technical queries, and support resolution of design and site coordination issues.
• Assist in preparing technical comparison statements, material approvals, and procurement-related technical documentation.
• Support site teams with approved drawings, details, specifications, and practical technical solutions.
• Monitor submission logs, drawing approval status, and ensure timely follow-up for consultant/client approvals.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, façade, and finishing teams to avoid clashes and execution delays.
• Support preparation of as-built drawings, handover documentation, and project close-out submissions.
• Ensure all technical documents comply with project specifications, authority requirements, company standards, and QA/QC procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in civil construction/contracting, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
• Experience in high-rise, hospitality, residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of civil/structural drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, material submittals, method statements, and consultant approval processes.
• Good understanding of site execution requirements, constructability, coordination, and project documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of Revit/BIM and document control platforms is an advantage.
• Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
