Al Bahar Maritime is seeking a dedicated HSE Officer for the marine industry to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations and company procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments on vessels and sites.
• Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions and follow up on closures.
• Deliver safety inductions, tool box talks and awareness sessions.
• Maintain HSE records, reports and documentation.
• Investigate incidents/near misses and support in root cause analysis.
• Promote a safe working culture across all operations and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Health and Safety, Environmental Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in HSE role, preferably in the marine, offshore or shipping industry.
• NEBOSH/IOSH certification (preferred).
• Good knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international standards (IMO/ISM).
• Strong communication, reporting and training skills.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and inspections.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and capable of working in a dynamic marine environment.
