Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in the construction and MEP industry in the UAE, specifically in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of UAE codes and regulations, and will be responsible for overseeing mechanical system installations, integration, and compliance with technical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems such as chillers, chilled water piping, pumps, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Ensure proper integration of mechanical systems with Building Management Systems (BMS) for smooth and efficient operation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with international construction codes and liaise with consultants for approval of executed work.
• Oversee manpower allocation, workload distribution, and ensure the optimal utilization of mechanical tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Perform HVAC and plumbing calculations to ensure all systems are functioning according to technical standards and industry best practices.
• Ensure that all mechanical installations meet the required standards for safety, quality, and functionality, and comply with UAE and Abu Dhabi regulations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• 5-8 years of experience in the construction and MEP industry in the UAE, with a strong understanding of UAE codes and regulations.
• Extensive experience in HVAC, plumbing, chilled water systems, and mechanical system integration with BMS.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage teams and resources on-site.
• Excellent knowledge of international construction codes and standards.
• Proficiency in technical calculations for HVAC and plumbing systems.
