Sharjah International Private School (SIPS) is seeking a dedicated educational leader to provide strategic and academic leadership for Arabic and Islamic Studies in line with the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum and school priorities. Drive high-quality teaching, learning, assessment, student achievement, and departmental excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Arabic and Islamic Studies across the school
• Ensure effective implementation of the MOE curriculum
• Monitor teaching quality, student progress, assessment, and departmental performance
• Lead, mentor, and develop Arabic and Islamic Studies teachers
• Ensure accurate assessment, moderation, reporting, and examination procedures
• Ensure the department remains inspection-ready
• Develop and monitor departmental improvement plans
• Promote student wellbeing, high standards of behaviour, and academic excellence
• Foster positive partnerships with parents and the wider school community

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Arabic, Islamic Studies, Education, or a relevant field (Master’s preferred)
• Recognised teaching qualification
• Proven leadership experience as Head of Department/Coordinator or similar role
• Strong knowledge of the UAE MOE curriculum and requirements
• Experience leading Arabic and Islamic Studies teachers
• Strong understanding of curriculum planning, assessment, moderation, data analysis, and quality assurance
• Excellent leadership, communication, organisational, and coaching skills
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, continuous professional development, and educational excellence
• UAE school experience is highly preferred
